About Us
A home for young people who want to act.
The Association for Youth Activism Kvantum is a youth-focused civil society organization based in Prilep, North Macedonia, committed to empowerment, participation and community change.
01
Who we are
Kvantum brings together young people who believe that participation is not a privilege but a shared responsibility.
We are a nonprofit association working in the fields of youth activism, non-formal education, leadership development, volunteering and civic engagement. Our activities are designed with and for young people, so that their ideas and experiences guide what we do.
Our name reflects our belief that small actions — like quantum particles — can produce energy far larger than themselves when they move together.
02
Our organizational purpose
The association exists to:
- Support personal and social development of young people
- Promote active citizenship and democratic participation
- Provide accessible non-formal learning opportunities
- Encourage volunteering and solidarity
- Strengthen youth voices in community life
- Build cooperation with civil society and institutions
03
Our approach
Learning by doing
Experiential, participatory methods where young people practise skills rather than only hear about them.
Youth-led
Young people help shape priorities, design activities and take responsibility for results.
Open & inclusive
Activities welcome every young person and adapt to different needs and backgrounds.
“We believe young people are not simply the leaders of tomorrow. They are important contributors to society today.
